Structure of agricultural holdings

Yearly agricultural census on 15th of May

Data on the structure of the agricultural holdings (utilised agricultural land, livestock, machinery and equipment, buildings, labour force, management of the holding, non agricultural activities non separable from agricultural activities, rural development programs) are collected every year on the 15^th of May. The data on land and livestock are extracted from the systems of administrative data (integrated administration and control system (IACS), register for bovine animals (SANITEL)), whereas the other data are collected directly on the farms by the national statistical office STATEC.

Survey on agricultural production methods 2010

In 2010, a special survey on agricultural production methods was carried out by STATEC in collaboration with Service d’Economie Rurale (SER) and Institut Viti-Vinicole (IVV) on the farms. The results of this survey will be available in 2011.

Livestock surveys on 1^st of December

The livestock present on the farms at the 1^st of December is surveyed every year for bovine animals, pigs, sheep and goats. The bovine livestock is extracted from the bovine register SANITEL, the sheep and goats livestock is surveyed by STATEC together with SANITEL and for the pig livestock, a special survey is conducted by STATEC.
